Making an easy connection between the jetbridge and aircraft without modification to the jetbridge Jetbridges often do not interface with the growing population of regional aircraft, so airports and airlines share expensive structural modifications to make jetbridges compatible with regional fleets.
Some mainline operators also choose the Express MBA to prevent damage to the aircraft caused by jetbridge contact. The Express MBA is a portable adapter that fits inside the jetbridge and the aircraft door, making a perfect fit between a conventional jetbridge and the aircraft, at a far lower cost.
A safe extension of the jetbridge
The passenger walks through the hand-railed and curtain-protected adapter. The adapter is rated to 1000lbs, which is well above the load required for passengers.
Aircraft Protection
When using the Express MBA, the jetbridge stays back a short distance from the aircraft, reducing positioning time and minimizing risk of damage to the plane.
Fold away to store
The handrails fold when stored inside the jetbridge, so it is easy to access and doesn't take up space in the walkway of the jetbridge when not needed.
Simple to use
The operator's job is made easy because the Express MBA rolls into place in seconds. It also has a built-in tilt compensator to adjust for cross slope on the jetbridge. Full instructions and diagrams appear right on the adapter. A set-up position gauge comes with each unit, allowing safe and consistent adapter alignment and operation. The Express MBA also has automatic brakes which lock as soon as the operator releases the push handles.

The Express MBA can be used on the BAe 146, Dash 8, Dornier 328, CRJ and ERJ series and F28. No modification to the jetbridge is needed. For other planes or for custom models, please discuss with Adaptive Engineering.

Warranty
Comprehensive two-year warranty: Full after-sales assistance applies to each unit, including 48-hour parts delivery in most cases. Adaptive warrants the Express Ramp to be free from manufacturing or material defects for two years from the date the product was invoiced. Damages caused by vandalism or abuse are not covered.
